AboutI’m Dylan, and Leahy & Co is me.
Leahy & Co is a one-person technology business in the Perth Hills. When you get in touch, you deal with me, and I’m the one who does the work.
I’ve been doing IT since I was a kid, including eight years at IT support companies and five years as infrastructure manager for a global cyber security company. I write software on top of that experience: secure, tested, and built to keep running after the handover.
Where I’m based
I’m based in the Hills, and I work across Kalamunda, Mundaring, Roleystone and the places in between.
What I’ve built
- The hosting platform every BuiltSite website runs on: automatic deploys, locked-down servers and no open ports. It’s written up under Work.
- Web applications with proper sign-in, an audit trail and automated tests, including admin tools built on Windows server infrastructure.
- Connectors that let AI assistants work safely inside business systems, with read-only modes, previews and confirmations.
- Monitoring: small field devices that report to a live dashboard and map, and keep their data through a dropped connection.
- Takeovers of production systems other developers built: security reviews and fixes, recovered source code, and the documentation that was missing.
- Moves between business systems with every record and total checked before the old system is switched off.
- BuiltSite itself, and integrations for its clients, such as a booking calendar that reads straight from Airbnb.
Where I’ve worked
Before Leahy & Co, I did this work for other people:
- Eight years at IT support companies, looking after businesses from a few people up to companies with sites across the country, and everything they run on: computers, email, servers, networks, backups and security.
- Five years as infrastructure manager for a global cyber security company.
- Work in a datacentre.
- Communications for mining and remote outback sites: two-way radio systems, internet links, and the solar and battery systems that power them.
Why the Hills
Businesses up here deal with things the suburbs don’t: patchy connections, buildings far apart, and outages in storm season. It’s where I’m based, and it’s the work I want to be doing.
How I work
Plain English
No jargon unless you want it. I’ll explain what I’m doing and why.
Practical
If the fix is one extra access point rather than a new system, that’s what I’ll tell you.
Written down
Every job ends with notes you can follow: what’s there, how it connects, and where the passwords live.
Your accounts, your data
Everything is set up in your name, and you keep the keys.
Built to keep running
Locked down, backed up and watched, because what happens after the handover is the part that matters.
Projects, not contracts
You get in touch when there’s something to do. Nothing ticks over in the background.
